Synthesis of Superparamagnetic Graphene-Iron Oxide Nanocomposites by Electrochemical Exfoliation Method

چکیده مقاله:
Sperparamagnetic graphene-iron oxide nanocomposites (G-IONPs) can be used for manytechnological applications, such as solar cells, batteries, touch panels and supercapacitors. In this work,we applied electrochemical exfoliation method as a simple, one step [1] and economic technique tofabricate G-IONPs. The fabricated G-IONPs were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), FourierTransform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Field Emission ScanningElectron Microscope (FESEM), Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS) and vibrating samplemagnetometer (VSM). Analysis of XRD pattern shows the formation of graphene iron oxidenanocomposites due to the existence of maghemite (Fe2O3) and graphite picks. Also from VSM andhysteresis curve, it was found that the specific saturation magnetization, Ms of the sample, is 57.3emu.gr -1 with superparamagnetic properties. The results of XRD and VSM indicate that the size of ferromagneticparticles reduced to critical size to form into superparamagnetic [2].
