چکیده مقاله:

In the present work, densities, ρ, for binary mixtures of (x1 1,2-Propandiol +x2 Ethyl methylketone) and (x1 1,2-Propandiol+x2 N,N-Dimethylbenzylamine) have been measured atatmospheric pressure and in the entire composition range. These quantities have been used tocalculate excess molar volumes, V(E)(m) The obtained correlations were used to calculate the otherthermodynamic functions such as thermal expansion coefficient, α, and its excess value, αE, andisothermal coefficient of excess molar enthalpy (∂H(E)(m) /∂P)T,x. These excess and deviationquantities have then been fitted to the Redlich– Kister equation [1]. Results of such calculationswere used for interpreting intermolecular interactions that exist between molecules of the binarymixture, qualitatively. Results of these calculations were used for interpreting intermolecularinteractions that exist between molecules of the binary mixture [2].The densities of the pure components and their binary mixture were measured with an AntonPaar DMA 4500 Oscillating U-tube densitometer, the temperature in the cell was regulated to±0.01K with a solid state thermostat Each mixture was immediately used, after it was mixed byshaking. All the weightings were performed on an electronic digital balance (AB 204-N Mettler)accurate to ±0.1 mg. The uncertainty in the mole fraction is estimated to be lower than ±1×10−4[3].The excess molar volumes and viscosity deviations of both binary mixtures are negative withinthe entire composition range and become more negative with increasing temperature from(293.15 to 333.15) K. The increase in the magnitude of the V(E) values with increasing temperaturecan be attributed to the decreasing importance of hydrogen bonding with increasing it,Other factors that affect the volume are molecular shape and size of components in the mixture[4,5].
