چکیده مقاله:

Thin films were fabricated by various methods such as spin coating, chemical vapordeposition, pulsed laser deposition and etc. for specific applications. Among them, electrochemical methods have been applied with great success to deposit thin films on differentsubstrates. In the present work, Bi-compound thin films such as BiFeO3 and Bi2WO6 weresynthesized by electrophoretic deposition (EPD) for the first time and used for photocatalyticdegradation of Rhodamin B [1, 2] and phenolic compounds [3]. Furthermore, forest-like BiFeO3film was prepared by applying EPD method on the prepared sol (Sol-EPD). This film withspecific morphology improved the light-harvesting and led to high photocatalytic activity indegradation of selected pollutant [4]. In sonoelectrodeposition (SED), ultrasound was appliedduring electrodeposition (ED) of films on different substrates. Ultrasound (US) affected the EDprocess through shock waves, acoustic streamings and microjets. SED technique has twocontinuous and pulse modes. Continuous SED (C-SED) was applied to form homogeneous filmswith lower porosity, lower grain size and smoother layer in comparison with ED method.Whereas pulse-SED (P-SED) led to form porous films with higher brightness in comparison withC-SED method. In the present work, Bi2MoO6 and Bi2S3 films were fabricated by differentcombination states of US and ED and applied in photocatalytic degradation of Diclofenac andhexavalent Cr from aqueous solutions, respectively. Results confirmed that the film with highporosity obtained from combination of ED and US in pulse mode led to a high photocatalyticactivity.
