چکیده مقاله:
Introduction: Antibiotic resistant among bacteria is a global threat to public health. Over the past decades, the incidence rate of multi drug resistant bacteria has been dramatically increasing around the world. The aim of this study was to determine of antibiotic resistance pattern of Gram negative and positive bacteria isolated from infectious diseases ward of Afzalipour hospital, Kerman, Iran, 2017.Material and Methods: During one year, 110 clinical isolates of Gram-negative/positive bacteria were collected from different clinical sample from infectious diseases ward of Afzalipour hospital, Kerman, Iran and the antibiotic susceptibility testing of bacteria was determined by phenotypic method. Results: E. coli was the most common bacteria that isolated from patients in infectious diseases ward. Chloramphenicol was the most effective antibiotic against this bacterium and the highest rate of resistance were observed to ciprofloxacin, cefazolin and ceftriaxone in E. coli isolates. Conclusion: Monitoring on the antibiotic resistance pattern of bacteria is very important for treatment of infections and infection control strategies.
