Study effects of, aqueous and hydro-alcoholic extract of P.psyllium on liver and kidney

Abstract: The use of plantago psyllium has long been considered in Iran and throughout in this study effects of, the aqueous and hydro-alcoholic extract of P.psyllium of these on liver and kidney.Method: Fifty female rat of Sprague Dawley race were divided into 3 groups of equal numbers. One group served as a negative control group .Groups 2 and 3 were treated with aqueous and hydro-alcohol extracts of 100mg/kg concentration respectively. They received 300 mg of extract per kg of body weight. Daily.Results: Statistical analysis showed that blood samples have not significant difference in terms of factors affecting liver and kidney.
