چکیده مقاله:

The purpose of this study was to investigate the role of copper additive on microstructure and mechanical properties of hyper-eutectic steel produced by powder metallurgy at constant density. Hyper-eutectic steel is one of the most widely used types of steel in powder metallurgy and automotive industry. For this purpose, various copper percentages (1-5%) were added to the powder mixture of powdered steel. In order to investigate the mechanical properties of the single-speed tensile test, a speed of 5 m / min was performed. The results showed that all samples were cracked in the tensile test and according to the results, the increase of copper in the chemical composition increased the strength of the samples. One of the reasons for increasing strength is the formation of liquid phase during sintering and copper deposition in the microstructure with decreasing temperature, which also contributes to the increase of carbon equivalent in the microstructure and the increase of carbon equivalents increases the strength of the sample.
