چکیده مقاله:

Study of peace and war strategies from the perspective of the Prophet [PBUH] as well as his practical life, in terms of science and research, has always been of interest to researchers and religious scholars and has provided the ground for interaction and religious unanimity among them. After going through the introduction and review of literature, the researcher attempts to investigate the practical life of the Prophet and some relevant verses of the Holy Quran. The issues of war and peace in Persian literature, Peace treaties concluded by the Prophet in the course of history, his goals in his covenants, the lasting peace in the Prophet s school of thought and his heroic flexibility in The Treaty of Hudaybiyyah are investigated in the present study. From this point of view, the following question may arise:Is Islam based on peace or war What strategies have been adopted by our prophet in this regard What are the basic assumptions of our Prophet in this regard Our religion is based on friendship, kindness and peace, moreover, our Prophet is Rahmah Al-Alamin, and is concerned about the fate of mankind. This is enough to reject the claims of Westerners and the pope and the church, including the Pope Benedict XVI who believes that Islam is the religion of sword and war. Islam considers war evil, and sees peace as a source of virtue. A brief review of the peace treaties concluded by the Prophet can prove that He firstly invites people to peace and kindness, and has even had a reputation for kindness, trustworthiness and peacemaking even before He was entrusted with prophetic duties. In the Peace treaties, He always called for formation of a unified community that would lead the society towards unity and peace. From his point of view, real and lasting peace occurs when justice is served in the society, when human dignity, human rights, democracy, personal and cultural identity, as well as the material and spiritual excellence of mankind are fulfilled, and when justice is at the service of peace. The term war is denounced in Islamic literature, and the wars that are witnessed in the course of Islam are known as jihad that should be necessarily performed, just like other practices such as prayer and Hajj, in order to approach God. Moreover, Muslims are obliged to defend each other and this act is known as legitimate right to defense that is even respected by The United Nations. In the course of these Jihads, Sometimes the Prophet accepts to make peace, and the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah is a typical example of the heroic flexibility on the part of our Prophet.
