Virulence Factors of Porphyromonas gingivalis isolated from patients suffering from periodontitis

Twenty three of P. gingivalis isolated from ninety one patients complaining from periodontitis with different age from both gender in Hilla city. Depending on cultural methods were done using different culture media , anaerobic condition and morphological characteristics (microscopically and biochemically) tests and percentage (25.3%). All of present isolates were have capsule. The isolates had one of iron providing systems during the production of haemolysin or siderophore, and all isolates had of production lipase,gelatinase and percentage of the - Lactamase and protease , collaginase were (82.6%),(73.9%) and (56.5%) , respectively
