Oncocytic lipoadenoma of the parotid gland

Oncocytic lipoadenoma is a rare salivary gland tumour composed of adipose tissue andoncocytic epithelial cells in varied proportions. We herein report a further case of oncocyticlipoadenoma originating in the parotid gland of a 55-year-old woman. The tumour presentedas a slowly growing asymptomatic right-sided parotid gland mass. The resected tumour wascomposed of oncocytoma-like epithelial component admixed with mature adipocytes. Thisrare variant of lipomatous salivary gland tumours must be distinguished from other fatcontainingsalivary gland lesions.
