چکیده مقاله:
Back ground:Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) as a mediator with the ability to stimulate theactivation of vascular cells into mitosis and increased vascular permeability is vascularendothelial cells. The recent increase in vessel construction waste has been active pulmonarytuberculosis.The purpose of this study was to compare serum levels of vascular endothelial growth factorin patients with active pulmonary tuberculosis controls.Materials and Methods:In order to study the case - control study of serum VEGF in 45 patients with activepulmonary tuberculosis as a group of 45 patients with non-tuberculous lung disease as acontrol group and 91 in Zahedan sampling method reviewed and selected by an independentT-test were compared.Results:Serum levels of vascular endothelial growth factor in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis(mean 334.36 ± 90.6) compared with the control group (mean 192.96 ± 48.8) was increased.Increased serum levels of vascular endothelial growth factor in patients with activepulmonary tuberculosis were significantly different compared with the control group. (Pvalue <0.05).Given that the levels of vascular endothelial growth factor in patients withactive pulmonary tuberculosis was significantly increased compared with the control group,the serum levels of VEGF in patients with active pulmonary tuberculosis can bedemonstrated. Although the role of VEGF in the vascular lesions associated with pulmonarytuberculosis virulence and progression requires further studies.
