چکیده مقاله:
Parasitic infections caused by intestinal helminths and protozoan parasites are the most prevalent infections in humans. Hygiene hypothesis suggests that these parasitic worms are not always harmful for humans; however, they are used for treatment of the intestinal inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. Parasitic infections affect the immune responses and suppressing the inflammatory agents and since in the host Th2 cause to severe infection for cells activation against pathogenic agent antigens of Th17, Th1 in some autoimmune responses; therefore, they may be effective in the immune modulation and suppression of the inflammation in patients with autoimmune disease. The results of this research showed that the parasitic worms such as: Trichinella spiralis, Schistosoma mansoni, Fasciola hepatica, Heligmosomoides polygyus, Nippostrongylus brasiliensis, Hymenolepis diminuta, can be used against some of the autoimmune diseases such as diabetes type 1 and type 2, intestinal inflammatory diseases, arthritis, asthma and allergies, autism and atopy.
