چکیده مقاله:

The influence of different molecular weights of added polymer (PEG) to backbone structure (ABS) in the blend membranes on gas permeation and separation characteristics of CO2/N2 has been discussed. Subsequently, on the best composition among these blend membranes (from the view point of CO2 permeability), the effect of PEG content (0-30 wt%) on gas transport properties has been studied. Permeabilities were measured at 25°C and 1bar. In addition, the effect of pressure on CO2 permeability was investigated in the pressure range of 2-8bar. The results showed that introduction of PEG molecules, almost in all cases, increased the selectivity without significant changes in N2permeability. From the view point of gas separation applications the resultant data placed in the commercially region.
