چکیده مقاله:

Given the importance of classroom management strategies as one of the main concerns of a teacher in his/her teaching practices, this study investigated the logic ofTEFL teachers’ action in their classroom management. The participants of the study were TEFL instructors, taught different EFL courses in different national universities,Shiraz, Iran. The data were gathered by observation and interviewing the participants with regard to their principles in classroom management. The obtained principles inclassroom management strategies were: being acquainted with the students, the teacher’s individuality, volition, caring, the distinctiveness of the educational situation, and the social context. For TEFL student-teachers, these emerged principles provide usable expertise as pedagogical guides before engaging in their own practical experience to put the theory into practice and a step toward professional development.
