چکیده مقاله:
Numerous linguistic and idiosyncratic variables affect the language proficiency among which critical thinking and language proficiency sound to be significant. This paper discusses the relationship between critical thinking as an effective component on teacher s language proficiency. Critical thinking is a complex process of reflection that helps individuals become more analytical in their thinking and professional development. Language proficiency is the ability to speak or perform acquired language. This paper argues that critical thinking and language proficiency are highly correlated. This study can contribute to the role of critical thinking in second or foreign language teaching.
