چکیده مقاله:
Learning vocabulary is one of the main issues of language learning specially in children so as far as teaching young children should include lots of attraction to gain their attention, the teachers of young children tend to use more plays, games, and visual activities in order to make them near to the stage of ‘play and explore’ in language learning. in this study the researcher ties to focus on how to improve vocabulary learning of children by using different kinds of games with paper pictorial flash cards or online flash card games to teach new vocabulary to 45 female pupils of first grade in a private Elementary school in Tehran. In order to assess the effectiveness of these strategies a quasi- experimental design conducted in which the students divided in 3 groups which were 2 experimental groups, who received different treatments as 1. Learning vocabulary through paper pictorial flash cards, 2.Learning vocabulary through electronic flash cards and a control group who were exposed to learning the words traditionally.after the instructions the 3 groups were tested through the (post-test). on the base of the data analysis, a significant progress in the experimental groups in comparison to the control group was found, which leads us to get in to this conclusion that using flash cards improves the vocabulary learning in young children
