چکیده مقاله:
Recently, language considers as the main factor in forming culture and the identity .Here identity is not seen as a singular, fixed and intrinsic, rather it is viewed as socially constituted,reflexive, dynamic product of social. The main purpose of this study is to consider the relationship between English language learning and individual, social, national and cultural identity .This article was based on a social study and the data are gathered through a questionnaire. The participants are Shahr-e Kord university students in academic year 1394.The sample of the study is 180 that are chosen randomly . the results show that there is a positive relationship between English language proficiency and individual identity (r=0.225) , negative relationship with national identity (r=0.163) in the significance level of 0.99 and 0.95 .also , there is a positive correlation ship between English language learning and social and cultural identity in the significance level of 0.99(r=0.142, r=0.210)
