This article was conducted aiming to find the relationship between Multiple Intelligence (Gardner, 1993) and Pragmatic Competence (Roever, 2006) among Iranian EFL learners. The study started with the participation of 134 EFL learners who were studying at a same language institute in Ahvaz at that moment. As the first phase, to find the intermediate-level language learners, students were asked to take the Quick Oxford Placement Test. Based on the QOPT result 104 students were selected. Then they were asked to answer the Multiple Intelligence questionnaire (the Persian version of this questionnaire by Azarfar 2007) and Pragmatic Competence test (Roever, 2006). It is worth mentioning that 12 students were excluded from this research due to their lack of participation in test taking. The descriptive and analytical statistics showed that among the eight different intelligence types, there is a meaningful relationship between linguistic intelligence and pragmatic competence
