چکیده مقاله:

For the first time in this work, Cisplatin uniformly molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) nanoparticles were created by precipitation polymerization using methacrylic acid (MAA) as functional monomer, and Ethylene glycol dimethylacrylate (EGDMA) as cross-linking monomer at different mole ratios. MAA and EGDMA that were the compounds of interest used in this work as the monomers are found to have biocompatibility and nontoxicity. Morphological properties were determined by scanning electron microscopy and the binding properties of the imprinted nanoparticles were studied by equilibrium binding test. As the result highly uniform imprinted nanoparticles were obtained by Cisplatin /MAA / EGDMA various mole ratios. Among the MIP obtained, the MIPs using Cisplatin / MAA / EGDMA mole ratio of 1:60:60 established nanoparticles with average mean diameter of 30 nm. Results from binding experiments demonstrated that the imprinted nanoparticles with mean diameter of 30 nm had highest specific affinity to Cisplatin (96%) in contrast with other imprinted nanoparticles and non-imprinted nanoparticles. Moreover, release experiments proved to be successful in the controlled release of Cisplatin over different time period. MIP nano particles exhibited a much longer period of sustained Cisplatin release than non-imprinted polymer (NIP) nanoparticles due to the interaction of Cisplatin with the Cisplatin -imprinted cavities within the MIP nanoparticles. This new MIP nanoparticles can utilize as a novel drug delivery device due to its improved properties.
