The aim of this study was to compare campus-based and distance learning students’ computer anxiety and amount of computer use for academic work. Sixty-seven campus-based and 74 distance learning students of English as a foreign language in undergraduate program at Shahid Rajaee Teacher Training University participated in the study. Computer Anxiety Rating Scale was used to measure participants’ computer anxiety. The results of the data analysis revealed that: (a) there was no difference between the degree of computer anxiety of campus-based and distance learning students; (b) there was a significant relationship between the amount of time two groups spent on working with computers; (c) no significant relationship between gender and computer anxiety was found; (d) there was a moderate but significant inverse correlation between the degree of computer use for academic work and computer anxiety; and (e) there was a significant relationship between gender and the amount of working with computers for academic purposes.
