Study of PVL gene and Spa typing of staph aureus in MRSA on clinical samples of children medical center hospital

چکیده مقاله:
Introduction: Staphylococcus aureus is the most common causes of hospital and community acquired infections. The aim of this study was to evaluate the spa gene patterns of 133 isolates of S. aureus using polymerase chain reaction.Material and Methods: 133 isolates of S. aureus were collected from Emam khomeyni hospitals that these isolates were reported as positive samples. The evaluation of spa gene patterns of S. aureus isolates was carried out by using polymerase chain reaction. Therefore, spa gene was amplified with selective primer pairs and was sequenced. The alignment of different types of spa gene was conducted by Bionumerics and Ridom software.Results: According to the results and analyzing the sequencing patterns of 133 isolates of S. aureus, 63% of spa gene were distinguished MRSA and 70 % were identified as MSSA. Also, a total of 4 of MRSA carried PVL toxin. The highest rate of spa typing was related to t037. In this study, different types of spa were observed at the first time in Iran. Such as: t002 (2%), t1816 (2%) and t4478 (4%).On the basis of the results, most research for distinguishing different types of spa gene is necessary.Conclusion: In fact, analysis of the patterns could help to control infection in hospitals and community.
