چکیده مقاله:

pseudomonas aeroginosa is an pportunistic pathogen that causws a notable proportion of community and hospital ackuired infections including urinary tract pneumonia,septicemia it is a serious cause of nosocomial infection. 127 clinical samples were collected From patients hospitalized in imam reza Hospital in mashhad. Susceptibility of isolates to antibiotics were assessed using disk diffusion test and IMP – EDTA combination disk was performed for detection of MBL broducing strains.Finally PCR technique used to detect IM1,2,3,4,5,9,11,13 Variants of MBLs.of 127 p.aeruginosa isolates from different specimens 62 (%49) were ̓re sistant to imipenem.The IMP - EDTA combination test showed that among 62 imipenem resistant strains, 31 strains(%51) were pheno tipically MBL producers. Additionally, the result of PCR method showed that(%11) of imipenem resistant p.aeruginosa isolates contained bla vim2-3-9-11-16 blavim 1-4-5-13 .No blavim2-3-9-11-16 gene was found in the examined samples. Resistance of p. aeruginosa isolates to imipenem due to MBL enzymes is increasing in Mashhad. Because of clinical significance of this kind of resistance,p. aeruginosa in the studied population, it seems that screening of infections causd most effective antibiotics therapies
