چکیده مقاله:

This article was set up, among the variety of determinants of fertility proposed by previous researchers , to examine which factors are the most important effective on reproductive behavior of Afghan refugee women in Iran , 503 women 15 to 49 years of age sampled to be asked about their some of demographic , and socio – cultural characteristics. The result showed that age at marriage and education was indirectly correlated to reproductive behavior, while the number of deceased children , age differential of spouses , women's authority in decision making and desired number of children as well as values of having many children was directly correlated to it. All the rest variable including proportion of girls. Contraceptive attitude , family income , duration of migration , religion and son preference did not play a role in prediction of reproductive behavior in target population. An overall finding of the study indicates that fertility in refugee women strongly is determined by cultural affairs neither by family structure nor by environmental factors.
