The Study Of Drawbacks And Approaches Effective On The Development And Acceptance Of Electronic Banking In Iranian Banks

The emergence of modern concepts in banking has changed the mode of providing services to the customers in the world furthest points. In Iran, this subject has enjoyed a double importance because of an extreme attention to the banking industry. As regards the traditional modes available in Iranian banks and the incompetence of these methods for providing new services, the necessity of this research with the purpose of identifying the drawbacks and approaches effective on the development and acceptance of electronic banking was felt. For this reason, the major drawbacks consisting cultural-social, managerial, financial and technical-technological drawbacks were identified and tested by a research process with a statistical sample of 195 persons and at the assurance level of 99. The first hypothesis based on the existence of cultural-social drawbacks and the second hypothesis based on the existence of managerial drawbacks in the development of electronic banking was not confirmed. On the other hand, the third hypothesis based on the existence of financial drawbacks and also the fourth hypothesis based on the existence of technical-technological drawbacks in the development of electronic banking in Iran were not confirmed
