چکیده مقاله:

Home Interview Surveys (HIS), observational methods, and video recording are conventional means of obtaining information about travelers demand. Yet, they are costly and time-consuming process for managers and decision-makers to measuring repeatedly for system’s evaluation. Moreover, achieving a reliable degree of accuracy in such studies is not guaranteed due to the lack of the logical validation framework. Despite this fact, there is no affordable, robust and reliable mechanism for replacing or augmenting the above-mentioned methods or validating the accuracy of the data collected through them. Development of Transportation Demand Forecast Models (TDFMs) based on up-to-date variables can help transport managers to achieve efficient solutions for the sudden transport problems.Classification of trips to the public versus private transport, or captive versus non-captive transit trip-maker, should be considered continually by planners for the synthesis of variables. Implementing new information through smart fuel card system and water-electricity consumption for updating TDFM is investigated and a methodology is proposed. Investigation of relationships between vehicle based traveling with respect to intensity of supply for fuel and energy consumption in a commercial and residential sector is being explored. Coupled with endogenous and exogenous variables, consumer s behavior is being examined by disaggregate analysis for the estimation of travel demand as well as the impact of intensive and extensive margins by sensitivity analysis.
