چکیده مقاله:

The terrestrial water storage TWS is an essential element of the hydrological cycle and a key state variable for land surface- atmoshpere interction. Investigating TWS changes is important for understanding the response of the hydrological cycle to climate variability. this is particularly critical to the fragile ecosystems in the northwest arid zone of china, which is experiencing drastic environmental changes. in this sutdy , the intra -annual and inter-annual dynamics of TWS n response to climate variability in xinjiang uyghur autonmous regin during 2003-2015 were analyzed using date product from gravity recovery and climate experiment GRACE satellites relesed by the center for space research CSR. the incresing/ decreasing rate during 2003-2015 in altay mountains, junggar basin, tianshan mountains. tarim basin and kunlun mountatins are -3.41 mm, -5.82 mm, -6.7mm, -2.59 mm and +3.05 mm per year, respectively. our study indicates that glacial meltin in the tianshan mountains is ampng the most rapid in northwest arid zone of china due to climate warming furgher knowledge of the responses of glacieal melting to climate change is cru-cial for a complete understanding.
