Investigation of Enamel-Tar Based Coating by Comparing with other Coats in the Pipeline

Protection of the buried metal pipes in the soil against corrosive agents and present stresses essentially is a complicated and difficult process. That uniform, durable, adherent to the pipe, sufficient life and stable against different stresses coat, in addition of cathodic protection, is necessary. Petroleum tars were one of the first pipelines protective coats that were used by mineral fillers for improving mechanical characteristics of primer to increase adherence of internal and external layers for reinforcing of coat.
