چکیده
Background: A major problem in the development of cytotoxic anti-cancer drugs is the side effects from those drugs which in many cases are the result of death of cancerous patients. This research project is aimed at developing inorganic molecules containing Ru(II) and Co(III) ions which will release and activate a cytotoxin when they are hitby light of a particular wavelength. Materials and Methods: In order to overcome the problems in our previous studies, the aromatic ligands were considered to coordinate cobalt ion in cis configuration in its coordination sphere. In this paper, it has been tried to synthsise compounds as model systems to demonstrate ligand release in thepresence of light by which we could prove the novel idea of ligand liberation in light. All prepared compounds and complexes were characterised using the conditional methods such as NMR, IR, M-S, UV-vis spectroscopy as well as elemental analysis. Results: The complex [(bpy)2Ru(pytp)Co(tren)]+5 was prepared and was collected as PF6- salt before was charactrised using NMR, UV-vis spectroscopy and elemental analysis methods. Photochemical reaction of the complex resulted in the liberation of the tren ligand. Conclusion: In this study, we have proved, for the first time, that the Ru(II)-Co(III) Heterodinuclear systems mediating bpy ligands bound to Ru(II) ion bridged to Co(III) ion in other side can be prepared and the electron transfer reaction from the Ru(II) ion to the Co(III) can be taken place in the presence of light which resulted in thepolyamine ligand release form the Co(III) ion.کلیدواژه ها
