Evaluation the awareness of patients referred to the Dental clinic of Hormozgan University of medical sciences about Patient Rights Protocol in 1st season of 2015

Patients knowledge of treatment process is very important. Patients should be able to participate in the selection procedure. The aim of this study is to evaluate the Bandar Abbas School of dentistry clinic’s patients aware about patients’ rights. This is a cross - sectional study and has done in the first season of 2015. In this study, the knowledge of the patients referred to the dental clinic Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences, examined the Patient Rights. Data collection was done by interview and Information was collected from 385 patients. After completing the checklist, data analysis was performed with SPSS software. More than half of the patients did not have the necessary knowledge about the provisions of the Charter of Patient Rights .According to the results of this study, many patients are unaware of the provisions of the Charter of Patients Rights and it is important to inform people in this area
