Study of mll2 gene expression changes in patients with breast cancer

Breast cancer is one of the important cancers in women. Study of genetic and epigenetic factors, and related gene expression is associated with this cancer. Present study compare MLL2 gene expressionchanges between tumor and normal tissues of breast in patients. Breast cancer is the most prevalent cancer among other cancers in women. In addition of genetic mutations and factors, epigenetic alterations have an important role in initiation and development of breast cancer. MLL2 is one member of KMT2 family that located on chromosome 19q13, has epigenetic regulator function in mammaliancells. Present study shows MLL2 gene expression changes in patients with breast cancer in North West of Iran. For this purpose tumor and control tissues were collected from patients in Nurnejat hospital in Tabriz. CDNA was synthesized after RNA extraction. Real time PCR was used to analyze gene expression. We aimed to see alteration in gene expression between tumor and control tissues inpatients. So our observations detected changes in MLL2 gene expression between two groups
