Nuclear technology in addition to making electricity, is used in most of branches such as industry, archaeology, medical, agriculture and hygiene and food industry. The example of the last case can be referred as preventing of potato Sprout process, food storage and increasing of shelf life, decreasing of viruses and microbial contamination and controlling and removing insects by gene mutation. By population growth, the necessity of storage of food for long term is noticeable these days. So, many countries store the foodstuffs and also use the chemical additive as preservative in order to keep food for long time. The most important thing to emerge is that, applying respected substances to conserve food from pollution is followed by irreparable consequences for both human and animals. Luckily to solve this problem using Gamma ray has become common in some developed and developing countries as a safe, less perilous and faster trend. This article follows either the process of irradiation by Gamma ray on food safety or reading over the superior technology namely utility of medicinal plants and their extract as a substitute substances for their anti-bacterial and microorganism features which predicted and used by researchers recently. As a result some recommendation will be present in conclusion part by author.
