چکیده مقاله:

It is known that two-way memory effect (TWME) can be obtained in shape memory alloys by various types of thermal cycling (training). The effect of thermal training cycleson the transformation behaviour is investigated. NiTi Shape memory Alloy is an intermetallic compound of Ni and Ti in near-equiatomic. The properties of the NiTi alloy is in consequence of the phase transformation of austenite to martensite by temperature change in atomic scale. The shape reversal starts at the first of austenite transformationtemperature (As) and finishes at the end of it (Af). The alloy is produced in three methods: Melting and casting, Powder metallurgy and Combustion synthesis. The alloy has many industrial applications as space systems and medical like surgery, orthopedic, vascular and orthodontic. In this article the thermal cycling training method is investigated and the behaviour of the alloy and the effect of thermal cycling on shape change trend has been studied.
