چکیده مقاله:
Introduction: Interests in green chemistry have been increased during the last decades, in order to eliminate or minimize the waste and toxic materials. Green chemistry concerns using nontoxic materials, environmental friendly solvents, and renewable resources. Manganese nanoparticles have been used in wastewater treatment, rechargeable batteries, sensors and etc. [1-3]. In the present approach dH2O as the environmental friendly solvent, Dittrichia graveolens (L.) extracts as the reducing agent, and curcumin, which is extracted from turmeric, as the stabilizing agent were used. Time, ratio of the extracts to the metal and pH were optimized using response surface methodology (RSM) for obtaining the optimal condition.Materials and Methods: Plant extracts were prepared by boiling 8g of plant materials in dH2O for 5 minutes. Aqueous solutions of manganese acetate (0.01 M) were prepared in 3 different pH values- 4, 6, and8. 9 runs were designed using Design Expert 10. Different ratio of extracts, and Mn solutions were mixed-10:90, 25:75, and 50:50. The mixtures were stirred for 40, 80 and 120 minutes. Then the extract of turmeric was added to the solutions. MnNPs were characterized by UV-Vis spectroscopy and FESEM.Results and Conclusions: Response surface plot indicates that ratio of the extracts to metal is the most effective parameter. Optimum condition was claimed to be as follows: time=56.733, pH=7.242, and %Ex=87.906. MnNPs characterized by UV-Vis spectroscopy and their size and morphology were studied by FESEM
