Catalytic Applications of Zeolites

Zeolites are very efficient and selective catalysts for various reactions, especially in the petrochemical industry. A description of zeolites is followed by applications in three important areas of catalysis, adsorption and ion exchange. In our current research, the important class of zeolites is called mordenite was synthesized successfully and the reaction of methanol conversion to light olefins (MTO) was performed.
