چکیده مقاله:

In this paper, 5 different Hydrogen production methods are studied using the Analytic Hierarchy process (AHP) in respect to 4 criteria. The systems to be evaluated are fossil fuel reforming, Coal gasification, Electrolysis, PV- electrolysis and Photo-electrochemical method. The selected attributes that were used in the investigation, for each of Hydrogen generation procedures are Energy efficiency, Exergy efficiency, Global warming potential and cost, respectively. According to the study, the fossil fuel reforming method rank higher than other methods, mostly because of its high well performance efficiency and the low cost (39.7%). But this method is concerning with global warming potential issue and producing Hydrogen from this process is in contrast with the goal of a clean future fuel. With respect to the objects with is expected from Hydrogen as a fuel with no harmful emission, PV- electrolysis and Photo- electrochemical method, are the 2 promising technology for Future Hydrogen production. However, they should be modified and improved their scores in performance and cost criteria.
