چکیده مقاله:

In the current research paper, an analytical method isutilized in order to analyze and optimize the thermalefficiency in a furnace regenerator. Biomass fuel is the onlyrenewable source of energy which is capable of replacingsignificant amounts of solid, liquid, and gaseous fossil fuels.Lycopodium particles are considered as the furnace fuel. Aregenerator model is developed to investigate its efficiencywith fossil fuels and Lycopodium particles. The proposedmodel is based on mass and energy balance equations. Byapplying Lycopodium particles, a small amount of releasedheat is consumed for its vaporization. Then, the flametemperature slightly reduces. A decrease in the flametemperature causes the flue gas temperature to reduce.Finally, the regenerator efficiency increases. The obtainedresults were compared to experimental data and goodagreement was achieved.
