چکیده مقاله:

Rapid expansion of supercritical solution with solid cosolvent (RESS-SC) was applied to the nanosizing of lamotrigine particles using menthol as solid cosolvent. In this work average particle size was reduced from 60.56 pm (before RESS-SC) to ~ 100 nm (after RESS-SC). In addition, the effect of extraction pressure and extraction temperature was investigated on the size and morphology of the precipitated particles of lamotrigine. The properties of the lamotrigine particles were assessed using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) and dynamic light scattering (DLS). The SEM images, XRD patterns and DLS particle size distribution pattern show that the precipated particles of lamotrigine had a modification in morphology.
