SYNTHESIS AND X-RAY CRYSTAL STRUCTURE OF CDOD COMPLEXES: NEW PRECURSOR FOR CD, CDO AND CD POWER MCRO AND NANO STRUCTURES

چکیده مقاله:

The present investigation reports synthesis and characterization of new CdCI) complexes, (CdCdmp)x), where dimp = 2,9-dimethyl-1,10-phenantrolin, X = I and Br. The Cd complexes are synthesized by using sono chemical and hydrothermal methods from the reaction between CdCID acetate, KX, X = I and Br, and dmp as ligand in different matrixes such as methanol, ethylene glycol, and urea. The crystal structures of CdCdmp)x2), have been found to be iso structures with crystal systems monoclinic and C2/c space groups. The CdCI) atoms have distorted tetrahedral geometry with four coordination number around CdCI) atoms incloding two Natomes from 1,10-phenantroline ring and two X, X = I, Br, atomis. Strong T-at interactions between papallel phenantroline rings is observed. The micro and nano structures of CdI2, CdC and Cd powder were prepared by thermal decomposition of micro-structures of CdCdmp)x2), as precursor under different situations.t Corresponding author address: Department of Chemical Technologies, Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology (IROST), No. 27, Shahid Mousavi Street, Enghelab Ave.,Tehran, IranCharacterization of the products was carried out by using X-ray crystallography, elemental analysis, FTIR spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX) and thermal analysis. The results showed that, sono chemical method resulted in significant reduction of reaction time, reaction temperature, and particle size of the products. Also calcinations temperature and different kinds of matrixes during complexation process, causes significant importance on morphology and particle size of the final products.Keywords:
