چکیده مقاله:

The nanoporous silica materials have attracted great interest among scientists because of their important chemical and physical properties. They are thermally stable and chemically inert. These dominant properties have been made them suitable for many applications such as modified carbon paste electrodes, micro extraction and catalyst. The one promising product is monodispersed silica spheres because they can be applied in reactors, columns, and fixed/fluidized bed reactors as packed bulks. However, the recent synthesis procedures are still expensive for wide uses because the starting materials such as silica source (tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS) or tetramethylorthosilicate (TMOS) are high-cost materials. Therefore, the use of materials with low cost is very interesting. A low cost silica source was used for the synthesis of nanoporous silica microspheres with average pore diameter 2.4 nm via a one-pot procedure using a triblock copolymer P123 (EOzoPOroEOzo) as template in combination with a co-surfactant cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB), and a co-solvent ethanol in acidic media solution. The obtained nanoporous silica spheres were characterized by SEM, SAXS and N, adsorption-desorption isotherms. The particles have specific surface area about 640 m/g and pore volume 0.4 cm/g.
