چکیده مقاله:

autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a lifelong developmental disorder which affects 1% of the population. Children with autism spectrum disorder have difficulty inrecogonizing the facial expressions of emotion which is important for social interaction. Most individuals with autism are drawn to rule-based and predictable systems such ascomputers and robots. On the other hand, using music and its elements is a particularly effective way for addressing core features of ASD. Method: pretest-posttest quasiexperimentalcontrol group research design was employed. 20 children with autismrandomly assigned to experimental group (n=9) or a control group (n=11) and were assessed pre and post intervention on the Ekman 60 Faces test. Experimental group played with anaudio-visual puzzel on android contains facial expressions of emotion presented simultaneously with explored music expressions available to the child 3 times a week for 1month. Data collected and analyses by the using Analysis of Variance method. Results:results showed significant differences between the control and experimental groups in the post test scores for the Ekman 60 faces test (p> 0.05). Conclusion: it was revealed that ourmusic-based game teaching facial emotional recognition on android can provide meaning for child with autism who is not able to understand emotional meaning in facial expressions
