Vegetable Oils, Sustainable Resources to be Replaced by High Aromatic Oil in Rubber Compounds

This paper considers the effects of replacing carcinogenic high aromatic oil with raw vegetable oils (sunflower oil and soybean oil) in SBR- based rubber compounds. The results show that compounds contain vegetable oils give very good fatigue life which indicates remarkable long-term durability properties. In reverse, they give poorer static long- term properties. Vegetable oils are more compatible with rubber. The best processability goes to sunflower oil compound. Rolling resistance declines by replacing vegetable oils
