The Effect of Environmental Factors Stability on Urban Security

AbstractThis present study investigates the effects of environmental designing on crime prevention.Besides other urban factors, security is an important factor, which directly affects the qualityof civil life-style and daily tranquility. Tools manufacturing, Military and defensiveinstallations in urban residences, military force establishment, and other proceedings are allaims for personal and social security. Feeling of security and safety as a humanenvironmentalfactor plays a critcial role in life and environmental satisfaction. Security inurban areas not only be defined as having a modern military force, but also creating anindirect sense of security through a mixture of consolidated architecture and social interactioncould made this aim possible. Research methodology is a descriptive-analytical through alibrary approach. Findings of the study shows that urban design by changing the cityframework, could prevent most of the crimes, like limiting and controlling access, creatingobstacles for crime opportunity, made crime aims impossible, controlling urban behaviors,control the public sites, and social affiliation of streets, destroying convicts hide-out and theirasylum, inability to impend, public lighting, and many other attempts for crime prevention.
