Green and quick synthesis of gold nanoparticles using apple fruit peel extract

Nanotechnology is one of the most active contemporary techniques in a modern method inmaterials science poses [1]. An important aspect of nanotechnology is the development ofsynthesis of metal nanoparticles. Chemical methods have been widely used for synthesis ofnanoparticles including electrochemical, thermal, laser, microwave, and various othertechniques [2]. Nanoparticles have some applications in the fields of agriculture, medicine,and various industries [3,4]. In addition, gold nanoparticles (GNPs) have many properties incancer therapy and drug delivery [5]. Production of GNPs by chemical methods can be toxic,expensive, and require high temperatures [6]. Therefore, providing low-cost, non-toxic, andsafe synthetic methods are demanded. Nowadays the role of biological methods, as analternative for chemical methods, for the synthesis of nanoparticles is highlighted. In thepresent study, a simple and biocompatible GNPs method has been developed to synthesis ofGNPs using red apple peel extract. In order to analysis of the structures, UV-Vis, scanningelectron microscopy (SEM), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) have beenemployed.
