Preparation of nano silica capsules containing polyethylene glycol micelles as anadsorbent for enrofloxacin drug

The rapid development world of organic-inorganic hybrid materials appeared, producingnanoscopic matter with excess of new features [1-3]. In this work, silica microspheresenclosing poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) together with cetyltrimethylamonium bromide(CTAB) was fabricated as a drug carrier in order to study the feasibility of using nonionicpolymer to formulate drug release rate from silica capsules and generate a sustained drugdelivery system. To attain this object, we prepared spherical silica capsules filled withpoly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) that were incorporated with a veterinary antibiotic drugenrofloxacin ,a model hydrophobic drug, in core and cationic surfactant in shell using ageneral and facil sol-gel route, single-step self-assembly of surfactant and polymer micelles.
