Optimized Truncation Algorithm for EBCOT with Less Computational Rate

Due to the high computational volume of EBCOT algorithm, a novel method with less computational complexity has been introduced. The simulation results, which are obtained from a DSP processor, show approximately equal performance with previous EBCOT algorithm but with the less computational time.
