چکیده مقاله:
Calculation of the system throughput capacity is very vital for decision-making and is useful and necessary in design and operation phase. Throughput capacity is defined as the total amount of items processed or produced by each subsystem or system. System throughput capacity is affected in complex ways by the reliability, maintainability, and capacity of its components. Therefore, with proper consideration of reliability, availability and maintainability (RAM), the number of failures, required time for repair can be reduced, and their consequences on throughput capacity minimized considerably. On the other hand, environmental conditions (covariates) such as cold and harsh climate, long distance from customer and suppliers’ markets, and sensitive environment with respect to pollution may have considerable influence on RAM. It is impossible to analysis throughput capacity at the system level for a complex production facility, because the effect of a specific covariate can vary on different subsystem. In addition, the relationship between subsystem and their interactions must be modeled. The aim of this paper is to present an approach for prediction of the throughput capacity considering performance characteristics, influencing factors and capacity of subsystem and system configuration. A case study from Sungun copper mine is used to demonstrate how the proposed approach can be applied
