چکیده مقاله:

As a heat transferring fluid, nanofluids constitute an exciting category ofnanotechnology. Due to using nanoparticles in basic fluid, the nanofluids offer ahigh heat transfer potential. One of the key factors in optimization ofcharacteristics of this category of fluids is their stability. In the present study, thestability of water/graphene oxide nanofluid with 0.1 percent mass concentrationwas experimentally analyzed. The intended tests are designed so as to examine theeffect of the variables of ultrasonic wave period and acidity of basic fluid onstability of nanofluid. In the tests, four periods of applying wave by ultrasonicdevice and deionized water as basic fluid with 4 pH levels are used. Fordetermination of stability level of nanofluid, photograph capturing technique aswell as Zeta potential test are done. Considering the obtained results, the higheststability period is associated with the nanofluid with pH=9 and a certain waveperiod (t=4.5). Therefore, the intended sample has the absolute zeta potentialvalue of   41 mV . Considering the obtained results, significant differencebetween zeta potential of the sample and isoelectric point, one could describe thenanofluid as a stable sample.
