A Reflection on the Nature of Wisdom in Islamic Art

In the Islamic thought, world is a manifestation and flash of thedivine light; it is the grace of the Holy eternal painter, where eachparticle, any creature, and any motif is a nominal manifestation ofdivine names. Among creatures, human being is the manifestation of allHis names and attributes, he is the selected creature in the world. In thelight of such thinking, the artist is a human being that addresses theobjects in their face and truth beyond morbidity and appearance. The artwhen uttered by religion and philosophy in one circle performs itsgreatest function, and in this way brings awareness and expresses whatis divine. Islamic art, is a revelation of different forms in the world, soas to visualize and demonstrate these forms of truth in the form ofwords, music, image, size and architecture ... and in the process of thisrevelation make the human individual and collective life perfect to theextent which ends human roaming and directs him to the proximity ofthe Unique God. In this study, the authors sought to find the answer tothis question that what is the essence of Islamic art? Hence, this studyhas used online references and texts through the books and other librarysources, as well as previous studies in this filed. Through a descriptiveanalyticmethod, in this paper, the architectural examples in differentcountries are mentioned to provide a more tangible picture of theIslamic art. At the beginning, the definitions and interpretations areprovided, followed by more tangible and objective examples.
