Photocatalystic degradation of methylene blue dye using ZnO-ZnWO4 nanocomposite irradiated with ultraviolet light

چکیده مقاله:
ZnO-ZnWO4 nanocomposite was synthesized using a water in oil microemulsion. ZnO-%50 ZnWO4 nanocomposite was calcined at different temperatures of 500, 600 and 700 °C. The operation photocatalystic degradation and bleaching of methylene blue solutionunder ultraviolet light was performed using the nanocomposite. The effect of operating parameters that affect the degradation process, including irradiation time and calcination temperature were investigated. The results showed that nano-composite system ZnO-ZnWO4 able to remove a significant amount of methylene blue dye solution, so that over 93% of methylene blue in 90 minutes by 0.01(g) of the composite calcined at 500 °C, is removed.
