چکیده مقاله:

The present research intends to investigate the effect of web-based multimedia (WBMM) instruction on the students’ academic achievement. This is a quasi-experimental study .The research population are the students at Islamic Azad University of Dezful. The sampling method is a simple randomized sampling and consists of 60 students of mathematics and computer, which were divided into two groups- experimental and control. The quasi- experimental design of a pre-test - posttest was done with a non-matched control group. The independent variable was the multimedia educational program, and the dependent variable was the student’ performance in the course is Advanced Programming. The experimental group was divided into two groups: one group the students of mathematics and the other one the students of computer. Their performance was compared with that of the control group. Their performance was compared against pre-and post-test teacher made tests obtained using statistical through T-test for independent groups were analyzed. The results showed that the use of multimedia training programs under the global network (web) causes students to be better educated. Significance -Todays, progress in multimedia technologies and changes in the world has made a necessity to study the effect of web – based multimedia. Also, A few studies in the case of web-based multi-media (WBMM) instruction on the students’ educational achievement have ever been done in Iran
