Vertical parks , proceeding towards sustainable development

Increased population and horizontal constructions in modern cities, and shortage of free environment on the earth are the main challenges of current urban planning in the world. Since green environment is not of much financial value, it has been disregarded, and only few lands have been allocated for that. This has led to the shortage of free environment on the earth, and the unfair division of urban uses. On the other hand, there is need for contact with green environment in today’s world. People gather in the green squares of cities in spite of air and sound pollution, and danger of accident for their children. Therefore, designing green environment is of vital importance regarding the deficit of appropriate green environment suitable for urban texture, and the costliness of lands. Various plans have been offered in providing the green environment. The present study aims to introduce vertical parks as a measure for achieving the objectives of sustainable development, expanding green environment, and providing and promoting public health and people’s psychical comfort with regard to shortage of lands
